“Cap is supposed to allow air in and then vent air out when pressure builds in tank due to heat. In addition cap is supposed to prevent gas from going out. The cap from denis carpenter failed. Had my truck at paint shop fixing minor scratches. Pressure buikt in tank and fuel poured out on new paint destroying the paint i had to pay for this repair. Informed to service at denis carpenter and all they woul do is either replace cap or credit the amount of the cap. Very poor customer service”

“Purchased a gas cap for my 1949 Ford Woodie Wagon. I bought these in the past with no issues. This time however the cap has a legal warning printed on the cap face. Since the gas cap on the woodie is exposed (vs under a gas door) it is very unsightly. Tried removing the printing but it appears the only way to do this is to sand or grind it off.”

“It is not a vented cap as advertised. It doesn’t look like the old style vented cap pictured on the website. Builds up pressure and pops when you loosen it to open.”
