Very easy to install on my 51 ford deluxe. Easy to follow instructions. I had the original sending unit still in the car so I went by the length of the original. Works great.

I ordered this unit expecting that it would be just what I needed. What I got was obviously one for a different gas tank as the rod is shorter than my original. It works fine, and I can use it but it won't reach the bottom of the tank so that it will read empty while I still have a certain amount of fuel in the tank. That's not a bad thing, it's better to have some fuel at empty rather than run out before it reads empty, but It would have been better to be what I had. With that shorter rod, it will read full even though I can still put more gas in it. Again, not to the point where it is unusable but still not what I expected.
