“The sending unit works great BUT does not reach the bottom of the tank on a factory tank 1956 Ford F100 truck. Compared to the original sending unit the float arm is too short. My gauge reads empty when there is still 6 gallons left in the 18 gallon tank. When I think about it a truck has the tank mounted vertical behind the seat and a car has the tank mounted horizontal in between the frame. The same sending unit can't work for both a truck and a car.”
