“One of the recommended resolutions to my idling problem with my '56 Ford after having an electric tank fuel pump was to purchase a vented gas cap to prevent suction from interferring with the pump. Dennis Carpenter was the only place I could find one and it look and fits like the original gas cap with has been on the car these past 70 years. Although my Ford only has 30,805 miles on it, when parts that are visible need to be replaced, I prefer to get OEM or Ford approved replacements. That is why I went to Dennis Carpenter. I am not disappointed.”

“This cap WILL NOT fit a stock tank. Or, other after market tanks. The tangs do not extend far enough into the neck. DO NOT BUY!”

“The ears that capture on the rim of the tank neck were positioned to shallow to tighten. Cannot use it.”
