“I have gone through several old contact point design regulators over 25 years on my '85 F250 6.9 diesel 4x4. The old design always wandered quite a bit and was subject to failure. The new solid state style is much steadier.”

“I installed regulator on 81 f150 and found it didn't sit flush on back of gauge cluster like it is suppose to in order to make good electrical contact. I redrilled mounting hole about a half of a hole closer to the regulator and it fit right up. Been using it for at least a month now, gauges seem to be reading good.”
