“This was a 3 pole solenoid, and my 1958 Ford 641 tractor needs a 4-pole with its 6V Positive ground system (with starter switch that grounds to case). (There was no image or description of this particular solenoid in the catalog, and the tech specialist on the phone suggested that it should work.) So I returned the part to Dennis Carpenter and ordered one through NAPA Auto Parts - it works fine.”
