“Impressive watch. A great deal of thought has clearly gone into the design of both the case and the dial—I truly feel that every element of this watch has something to say. I have the silver version, and the dial looks gorgeous. The vertical brushing on the central sector, combined with the concentric brushing on the minute track, creates a striking play of light reminiscent of a sports car speedometer. The flat dial, along with the raised hour markers and silver hands, gives the watch a clean and professional appearance while adding a subtle sense of depth. The Depancel wordmark, with its connected lettering, resembles a classic car name badge, while the emblem also echoes the look of an automotive logo—both reinforcing the watch’s automotive character. The octagonal crown adds another distinctive touch. The case finishing is particularly well executed, with a thoughtful combination of brushed and polished surfaces. A nice additional detail is the serial number plate on the side of the case, which adds a sense of individuality and further strengthens the automotive inspiration. Finally, the perforated straps look fantastic, clearly inspired by classic automotive upholstery. I own all three strap colours, and each pairs beautifully with the watch. Well done, Depancel team.”
