“THESE RECENT BETA COURSES DEALT WITH INCLUSION AND COMMUNITY. I BELIEVE INCLUSION IS INTEGRAL TO DESIGN. AS DESIGNERS WE ARE NOT THE END ALL BE ALL WITH EVERY ANSWER - WE NEED TO SEEK COUNSEL FROM THOSE WHO WILL BE THERE AND WILL NEED THEIR SPACES TO REMAIN RELEVANT LONG AFTER WE HAVE COMPLETED OUR WORK.”

“The instructor was knowledgeable and pleasant, but the content of the first 50 minutes of the course was repetetive versions of "co-design is good and equitable, and allows buy-in by the consumer." The last ten minutes of the course were devoted to case studies, but these were glossed over. For example, the instructor said the community was involved in co-design in the First Nations projects in Canada, but there was no explanation of how exactly the community was involved, what the process was, what the community wanted/how it was delivered. The course should have been flipped - ten minutes (max) about the benefits of co-design, and 50 minutes of how co-design is put into practice effectively.”
