“We recently had tornadoes in our area and lost power for four days. Living in an all electric home, with guests in the house for the weekend, consisting of our pregnant daughter and her husband and their 2 small daughters, we were concerned with being able to be able to make it through the nights with the ability to see and not trip over anything and also to feel safe and be comfortable.
I had recently purchased 2 Devos 1200s with Ampak power banks and assembled them both and put one in our living room and one in our dining room. I also had purchased the motion detectors and deployed those as well. Luckily I had topped the lights and powerpaks up for when I might need them and lo and behold they were ready when the power went off
The power was out for four *looong* days and those lights made a tremendous difference in allowing us to function with a semblance of normalcy which would not have been the case otherwise.
Originally I thought having 2 lights might be overkill but now I am considering one more.
The powerpaks helped conserve the battery life such that they only were on when we were active near the lamps, so the those along with the motion detectors was a winning combination extending their usefulness for the duration of the power outage, and as unpleasant as not having elctricity can be, these Devos products, which I purchased primarily for outdoor recreation, were instrumental in helping us get through the situation.”
