“I really love these lights. We camp in Washington state and there are commonly burn bans in the summer which mean no campfires. I bought these as an alternative so we’re not all just sitting in the dark. The amber filter is the best IMO, but it is nice that you can change to bright white for task lighting. They seem very rugged and I really like having the light source up high.
My only complaint would be battery life (they don’t quite make it two nights in a row without recharging) and it would be nice if you could change the light color without filters (RGBW leds). But then again, you’d probably have to use an app for that and they’d be way more expensive.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase and I would buy these again.”
“I ordered 2 LightRanger 1200's in hopes of illuminating my 10x20ft. trade booth at a recent show. I was very happy with the results. My only problem with them was the need to recharge every 4 hours.”
“LightRanger 1200 lights with stands make an amazing difference in the camp site. With amber covers and the stands raised to full height a warm glow is thrown throughout the entire outdoor living area. In tight sites the reduced two side setting is ideal for directing light to your working area while not imposing on neighbors. Purchased two and do not believe I need more for my use otherwise I would purchase again in a heartbeat. Only downside is the storage & carrying case. I have removed the light from pole and stored in the lenses bag, makes it easier and I believe less like to damage. Would be interested in a compact soft case for two lights that would protect when stored and experiencing off-road conditions enroute. Additionally, plan to add a small plastic clip to the top for easy transition to the tent when we call it a night. Alternatively, if they could be controlled remotely would be great as a scare light for unwanted guests.
Overall great product and enjoying each time we spend the weekend outdoors.”
“This thing is built solid! And they’re bright! Like Holly smokes! I originally bought them for camping but I’ve been using them around the house in under-lit areas or areas around my house with no light. Battery seems to last long and I’m very impressed. My only 2 complaints/ recommendations.
1) I wish they came with their dedicated charge box, a low profile, something that isn’t bulky or sticks 13” (exaggerated) off the electrical socket would be cool like the anker smal charge boxes. I mention this because we don’t have many charge boxes anymore, most of our products are wireless charging or they come with a built in charger/box and cable.
2) when removing the light from the tripods, it may be a long shot but it would be cool if the light itself had some sort of low profile legs or tripod built into the base, this’ll help it from tipping over since it is top heavy, and it also prevents us from placing it upside down and essentially blinding ourselves as the light will shoot upwards. They may sell an attachment, I haven’t really searched, but then again this is an additional item you’d have to pack rather than having it built in.”
