“The filtered light kit is a must , definitely in Australian conditions. With the filters and the extension setup what bugs are still attracted to the lights are up and out of the way yet benefiting having a lit up campsite.”
“The colored filters worked well with the exception of the red filter. I feel the filters would be unnecessary if the light could change colors itself. The issue I found with the red filter was that it is supposed to preserve night vision but in order to turn on the light you have you physically touch it, which forces you to look or get close to it. The light ranger's brightness can be a curse here as the light is so strong up close that even with the red filter your night vision will be reset. This issue could maybe be fixed by providing a remote control for the light.”
“These are a huge improvement to the light s when relaxing at the campsite. 1200’s are bright, white LED light is great for visibility, but harsh when winding down. Snapped the orange filters on at the campsite and they made an instant improvement to the evening.”
“: I have not used the color filter kit yet, but if the kit is as good as the lights, i'm loving them.
I probably won't be using them until next summer. When we go camping again, we only camp once a year. LOL. If I use them beforehand I'll let you know.”
