“Since we are using our LightRanger 1200 for walking our dogs at night, when we are not camping, I used the light without a filter the first time. Bugs were so bad they were getting in my eyes and mouth when I was trying to take it down. The next night I put the bug filter on. Absolutely no bugs! Very much worth getting the filter kit.
