“In general, really really satisfied. High quality of printing and materials (I didn't choose to go up a paper quality level, but the paper is still really nice and thick), and the turn around time and price are very reasonable considering what was printed. It was also very easy to load up my PDFs and to create my cover. I also really appreciated the 10% August discount. I have a few minor bugbears, but I'm so pleased with the result (and will be printing more) that I don't want to take my star rating down to a 4 (it's definitely a 5 star level of satisfaction, and I have already recommended DoxDirect to friends). However, a few things to consider going forward maybe: I ordered a set of paperback books. Things I didn't like about this process: 1. When I used the cost calculator it told me I'd have to pay about £17 per copy (no problem). When I loaded up my PDF, it calculated £60 a copy. I was devastated and thought I'd wasted all my time. It was not obvious to me at all until I went back and checked with the calculator (no, £17) that the PDF uploader had automatically assumed my document was to be printed in colour, rather than B/W as I had requested on the earlier screen. I switched it back to B/W and it came down in price. 2. Once I made the colour cover, the document again reverted to colour and £60. I had to go back to another page to check that you'd said that colour covers were standard with B/W printing (which is really appreciated, btw, and a great add on). The preview at this point was particularly worrying because when I again switched back to B/W it showed my cover in B/W and with most of the detail missing. I clicked buy anyway, hoping for the best (and because you have a 'not satisfied? money back policy - which again is really really good and appreciated) - and it has come through printed in colour. But it's not a reassuring experience. 3. I think there's some changes that can be made to those earlier screens and assumptions, but a quick change that might help is a text box where I could enter some additional comments such as - cover should be in colour, please get in contact if not. 4. This is really niggling now, and not at all necessary, however - I think it would be good if when you choose the paperback book/hardback book option there was a note somewhere (or a tool inside the printer) that said - you might want to increase the gutter margins. As I said, I'll be re-printing the same thing relatively soon, and none of these things will worry me at all. In general, it was a great experience. Thanks DoxDirect.”

“got 2 hardback books made and from the transaction being completed to my door was less than 2 days and that wasn't with any express extras added. the books look amazing and well bound together and they also found and rectified a printing error that I had made before I emailed them. thoroughly impressed and will be using again”

“Not only were we impressed with the speed of the production of my fathers book, we are absolutely thrilled with the overall quality and finish. The hardback cover lovely - spot on, the pages feel great (durable yet a lovely, slighly gloss finish) and the quality of the print/text - including the colour - is excellent - as good as any book you'd find in a quality bookshop. We used the courier service for delivery which made it easy to track but it arrived in no time at all anyway. We'll most definitely use Doxdirect again for printing other products or indeed anything more my father decides to write in the future. Also - thank you so much to all of the team for your patience as were getting together our final version of the document and deciding upon each of the specifications - top advice and guidance throughout so gold stars all round. [[[If there was anything to improve - we couldn't get to grips with parts of the webstie -for example, trying to sort out the print on the front cover... this was a bit confusing. We didn't understand what the text around the outside edge of the left side was for, or how to write the title of the book on the front. This slowed us down.]] Otherwise, you all do a tremendous job and have a tonne of patience to deal with technophobes like us... thanks, especially Louise.”
