“These do make tracking so much easier as opk test strips can be so difficult to read correctly given that you always have 2 lines and need to judge for yourself wether it’s positive or not. Personally I find these better for me as I don’t ovulate on the same CD (Cycle Day) every month and I usually get 4 highs before my peak, so planning is much easier. Dr Fertility is much cheaper than other places (almost £10 more per box at Boots for example) and I won’t go anywhere else now.
Only bad thing I can say, is that the monitors can no longer be used once you get a peak result which makes it more expensive in the long run, which is why personally, I have now ‘upgraded’ to the advanced fertility monitor as money is saved in the long run”
“Once you understand how to use them, they work well. In initial testing it’s trying to establish a baseline, so I wouldn’t recommend testing the first time and expecting it to show peak fertility. Start testing a couple of days before your fertile window. Once it shows peak fertility for 48 hours it resets.”
