“Sadly not the best as the key component was 3D printed and broke within minutes. They did however replace it quite quickly but a more robust product was acquired.”
“the instructions say to use the big ring and spacer, the big ring didn,t fit with the screws provided, so used 2 of the 3 that were longer. Didn,t run with the big spacer, so had to change to a small one. This was all just setting up, once started using the machine the bigger screws then failed the shroud started to burn itself away, for a quick fix I had to use some drywall screws to keep it on. It will now be an expensive 1 time use throwaway. Good idea but the main parts need to be metal to fix to the grinder in my opinion, with a machine running at speed and the shroud wobbling and moving while dust is going everywhere, because the screws are too small, or the ring was too small, could have lead to disaster”
“Don't do it. I've had two orders from Dust arrest, 1st was mis-sold as it didn't fit the grinder after the website claimed it did so the attachment was damaged trying a make shift fit. 2nd order placed after Telephone chat with staff re grinder model and specific details placed in the order for this. Upon arrival the wrong length screws included rendering the adaptor collar useless and the whole thing unusable. No discount or refund for the 1st mess of an order and no faith in the product at all now.”
“The adapters are 3D printed and were unfortunately brittle. They snapped around the screw on first installation.
I contacted customer services without any response.”
Good morning Patrick,
I have just picked up your review, I am sorry that you have had problems with the rings. We did try to reach out to you via email to find out more about your grinder and what ring was broken. Unfortunately there was no phone number left for yourself so we couldn’t call you.
Please let us know which ring you require so we can rectify this as soon as possible.
Kind Regards
Charlotte
“Worked really well for the job in hand, the shroud does reduce the cutting depth so I have adapted it to suit my needs.
I would also prefer to submit my review under my first name Raymond not Chalmers as it was addressed to me.”
