For serious birders only. Not for the faint of heart.

The first time you stand on the deck at Asa Wright is overwhelming. There are so many different species of birds at the feeders and so close you don't know where to direct your attention first. My other favorite part of the trip was the bay we went to where at least 5000 scarlet ibis come to roost. The sky is filled with gorgeous red birds. I think friends thought I was exaggerating until I showed them my pictures and they thought all the red were blooms on the trees. Loved this tour!

The actual tour was outstanding though some days were a little long in a Volkswagen van. Incredible leadership by Ernesto and local guide. Lodge staff were friendly and helpful. Species diversity was beyond expectations.

Birding at the Asa Wright facility is just the best. The bird photography opportunities from the veranda are excellent. The local and the Eagle-Eye guides are extraordinary at locating birds. Great job.
