This trip was an opportunity to visit this area without having to drive myself. From Calgary we worked our way to the badlands near Drumheller. Back-stage tour of the Royal Tyrrell Museum with many dinosaur skeletons.

This is a short but action packed tour blending great prairie birds and the wonderful topography and dinosaur territory plus a terrific behind the scenes tour of the Tyrell museum. Jodi and Yousif are a wonderful pair of guides. The bird variety did not disappoint, everything fromAmerican White Pelicans to a Long billed Curlew, Prairie Falcon and wonderful views of Baird’s and LeContes Sparrow(lifers for me).The addition of the saloon to our dinner itinerary was so much fun.

An outstanding tour in every respect! Led by two excellent guides, Jody and Nick, we saw close to 150 bird species, with stops at various sloughs, lakes, falls and parks. We benefited from Jody's expert knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, fossils, dinosaurs and geology. People travel to other countries to see canyons and 'badlands', but we have breathtaking scenery right here in our own country. Highlights: too numerous to list, including Dinosaur Provincial Park, the Royal Tyrrell Museum, hoodoos. Birds: everyone has their favourites, but these were stand-outs for me: mountain bluebird; Western and eared grebes; chestnut-collared longspur; a female American redstart; yellow-headed blackbirds and Baltimore orioles.

Excellent birding expertise but the dinosaur field experience and museum was uniquely memorable.

An excellent trip with just enough participants to get to know them, but not too may to constitute a crowd. Jody was an excellent leader. Plenty of good birds, and plenty of info. about paleontology. Good hotels and food. Highlights included bird photography at Frank Lake, and the tours of the Tyrell museum and trip into the badlands to demonstrate how and where fossils are found.

Eagle-Eye's Alberta Birds & Dinos Tour was truly fantastic - from all points of view! Guide Jodie Allair was most accommodating and covered all aspects of a great trip - bird sightings, photography opportunities, hiking, etc. He was well informed and introduced participants to his regular haunts which made the tour so meaningful. My husband and I loved the visit to the Tyrrell Museum - wonderful experience. We'd do the trip again in a flash. Wendy Dey
