Jan 19 - 29, 2026 | Our Belize & Tikal birding tour visits three outstanding birding locations: the incredible wetlands of Crooked Tree, the rainforest around Pook's Hill and the ancient Mayan temples at Tikal National Park. We will look for woodcreepers, tanagers, cotingas, manakins, toucans, trogons, king vultures, ocellated turkeys, and orange-breasted falcons and much more.

“Two great guides and a small group of 12 birders. Guides were very knowledgeable about the environment and culture in Belize and Guatemala. Local guides and drivers shared their expertise which added a significant dimension. Accommodations were good and in particular the Jade Jungle Lodge had extraordinary food. The Maya ruins were very impressive. So glad we were able to do a tour which included them.”

“This tour was perfect for my wish to get an overview of Neotropical birds. I saw representatives of most families, and could place them in context. The guides were excellent, and took great trouble to give us all good views.”
