This is a tour for very enthusiastic bird observers. Ernesto is extremely skilled at locating the birds of Costa Rica. He can hear, see and name all the species and located an extraordinary amount, lining up his scope for all of us to see. Paz was also very skilled and helpful. They provided an amazing number of opportunities to find birds and other wildlife. Our driver, Ramon, was also an excellent birder and very supportive of us all.

Costa Rica Birding was a trip of a lifetime! We had great tour guides (Ernesto and Paz), hotels, food, and most importantly the birds. It was so good there wasn't anything we would have changed about our trip.

Great tour and great guides. Over 400 species of birds seen, as well as experiencing some of the country's highlights - coffee farm tour, local chocolate production, etc. Made me want to go back to see more of Costa Rica

Excellent tour with first class guide. Ernesto knew his birds and his country and was generous in sharing both of them with us. We had a great time.

We have done a number of birding trips around the world, with Eagle-Eye as well as other companies. This was the best trip we have done, both in terms of the quality of the tour, and the congeniality of the participants and guides. Our lead guide, Ernesto Carman, was exceptional - extremely knowledgeable about the bird and other wildlife, but also about Costa Rica in general. The other guides were very good as well, and they patiently made time for everyone to see the target bird, get photos, etc. The tour included a wide variety of terrain and habitat, and resulted in a lot of bird species, including many lifers for us, although we have birded there before. Any inconveniences related to accommodations or meals ( and there were very few), were more than made up for by the guides and the birds. Costa Rica is a beautiful country, and the people are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this tour to everyone, whether they are experienced birders or just starting their adventures.
