Wonderful tour with Michael and Alan. Both were excellent at siting birds and making us comfortable!

This was a first-class tour by a first-class company, Eagle-Eye. As novice birders, we were probably more interested in the gardens at first. On one occasion, we had a chance meeting with the owner of the estate who explained his garden plan and it's progress. As the tour progressed, the birding aspect became completely fascinating. The English have "hides" (we call them "blinds") from which to observe the birds with seats and flip charts to identify them. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and generous with his time and equipment.... and patient, taking time to explain the various aspects of what we were seeing. (Quality binoculars are a must as well as being prepared for some surprisingly chilly - cold- days.) The accommodations for the most part were A++, with fine dining rooms. Several had staircases that would be challenging for even a mountain goat. Overall, this was an outstanding tour, and one we intend to do again.
