Travel through the awe inspiring landscapes of Arctic Bay under the midnight sun. Experience life in the far north from our Inuit hosts, and get a chance to see polar bears and witness the unicorn of the sea: the Narwhal. Plus, we’ll keep our eyes out for gyrfalcons, and other birds and mammals at the floe edge.

This is a wonderful immersion in the savage beauty of Arctic. Camping was comfortable under a 24 hours sun light. And my group was lucky enough to watch several polar bears, a parade of belugas and some narwhales. Being in contact with Inuit staff and learn about the way they live was as interesting and challenging as getting close to arctic wildlife.

This was an exceptional and memorable experience, one of the best ever! The cultural infusion so patiently and infectiously shared by the Arctic Bay family/team–concerning everything from animal sightings, behavior and habitats to cloud/ice/snow readings, from elder and more recent stories to exchange of food, dress and art forms–was the absolute highlight of this adventure. We did see polar bears, walruses, belugas, seals and an array of birds. Couple that with the time spent with the Arctic Bay Inuit and the landscape and you have an undeniably mind-blowing adventure. Expect hiccups, this is nature and the Arctic, but the Arctic Bay community did their best to be the best hosts ever.
