May 5 - 15, 2026 | Spring in the Netherlands offers great birding in a variety of habitats including the coast, heaths, woodlands, polders (marshland) and lakes. Areas such as the Waddenzee, Lauwersmeer, De Hoge Veluwe National Park and Oostvaardersplassen are famed for the sought after species that can be found there. May is the time when many local birds will be breeding, while late migrants are still winging their way north, so the overall list will be excellent.

“The country is beautiful and has amazing public transportation. Our 2 Eagle-eye guides were dedicated, sulisitus to all of our needs and very enthusiastic about finding birds for us. I highly recommend them as fantastic birding experts .”

“The tour covered a wide range of different habitats from woodlands and meadows to marshes and shorelines. We saw a huge variety of species. Accommodations were generally very good. Evening meals were fantastic. Travel with 5 people to a van with one guide in each of the 2 vans was ideal. Good time to interact with the guides and with each other. I would recommend this tour highly. The tour guides were fabulous, very knowledgeable about birds, habitat, wildlife and even history. Great experience.”
