Great education on Scottish history, and fabulous scenery and wildlife in the islands. Most efficient and exciting way to visit all the islands on this itinerary.

An excellent expedition, from start to finish. That we were able to land on all the planned stops, except Staffa (but so close), was a combination of skill and luck. The quality of the onboard experts was remarkable, as always, and local guides echoed our view that "once you go with Adventure Canada, no other operator comes close to how they treat the communities and their own people." That includes their guests, we hasten to add!

This trip would have rated 5 stars if the published itinerary had been adhered to. Not going to Shetland (Lerwick) and, instead, adding Tory Island off Ireland was a huge disappointment. That said, the ship, the food, the onboard entertainment (lectures, ceilidhs), and above all the stunning beauty of the Scottish Isles met every expectation and more. For bird watchers, the abundance and proximity to all manner of sea and land birds was superb. I had just under 100 species.

Thank you for your thoughtful review, Jonathan! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the ship, the dining, and the amazing beauty of the Scottish Isles. We recognize that the change in itinerary was disappointing and understand how that would impact your experience. Unfortunately, the high seas at the time forced the crew to make changes to the original plan. We’re thrilled you had such a remarkable time birdwatching, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you on another journey soon! Warm wishes, Team Eagle-Eye Tours

We had a wide variety of activities and excursions although we were unable to make every port due to high seas. The specialty staff was amazing in their knowledge and enthusiasm! The food staff were very friendly and accommodating. The family atmosphere made the trip very enjoyable.

We have gone on many small ship cruises and this Adventure Canada trip ranks right at the top. The ship was comfortable and well appointed for this type of cruising. Going ashore in the rigid inflatables was a snap even for those more ancient or physically disadvantaged tourers. The tour offered a complete perspective of life in the Scottish isles over the last 3 - 4 thousand years. The expedition staff were loaded with local knowledge on everything from archaeology, through geology and botany to ornithology. A well run and completely worthwhile cruise. I have been recommending it to my friends ever since our return.
