This tour is called "ultimate", and I believe Eagle-eye Tours went out of their way to choose different and essential aspects of British Columbia for their visitors: I could never have seen or done a fraction of the activities on my own! The organization and efficiency of the staff in their office, and of the guides were faultless. Add to that the beauty and awesomeness of British Columbia, the mammals and birds we were shown... This tour will surely have a lasting impact on you as for me.

I was looking to improve my birding skills which were pretty much non existent and also wanting to see more of British Columbia in my goal to tour all of Canada. I love having every detail looked after especially when travelling alone so I booked the Ultimate BC Bird tour. I was not disappointed even though I was totally out of my element with several experienced and knowledgeable birders and two of the best all around guides I have experienced. I had so many questions I did not know where to start but Steve encouraged us to ask aabout anything including photography. It was increible how Steve and Lev were able to find over 200 species and in the beautiful hills of Osoyoos they even found a rattle snake and a badger. How exciting is that! I’ll admit the pace was hectic but I survived and we sure covered lots of beautiful ground.

The tour was an outstanding experience for me. The guides were extremely knowledgable as to where the birds could be found. The two guides went out of their way to help us travellers. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were particularly diligent in making sure the older or less fit people were given all the help possible to get as much from the trip as the younger fitter. The itinerary was tough and tiring but the organisation was excellent and accommodation and food more than adequate. 220 species in 8 days was a wonder. If other Eagle Eye tours are as well run then I recommend them to all.

This was a fantastic trip with an itinerary that allowed us time in a very wide range of habitats. Steve Ogle and Lev Frid are both exceptional guides who made a great team. They made sure everyone had excellent experiences with birds and other wildlife while having a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

There was quite a lot of travel but as we covered different habitats in BC this was to be expected.the pelagic trip was my first and maybe last but was worth it for the birds we saw but perhaps not for everyone, a small boat being tossed about in a wild sea.(scary fun) Although focused on birds we saw lots of other wildlife. Only 5 in our international group which meant we all got time. We stayed at hotels and inns of different levels, all acceptable. If I hadn’t done this trip I would do it again.
