In Vietnam we will explore diverse habitats from lowland forests and deltas to the highland with many regional specialties and endemics. Cambodia is known for the deciduous dipterocarp forests. We will visit superb National Parks and spectacular historical ruins including Angkor Wat.

“THis was my 4th tour with Eagle Eye. The Cambodia and Vietnam tour was excellent with a wide variety of habitats and methods of viewing birds from feeding stations to hides to river boats, mudflats and roadside walks. The tour included cultural exposure with a tour of Angkor Wat as well as experiencing the cuisine, varied accommodation and the people of Cambodia and Vietnam. The local guide was always available for questions about history, culture and politics. From my experience the guide is a big part of the success of a tour. The Eagle Eye Guide Phil was superb in every way. He had an encyclopoedic knowledge of birds and their calls, He was quick to get the scope on difficult to see birds and skilled at guiding ones eyes to the bird's location. He was generous in sharing his knowledge. Apart from that he was a excellent leader with a good sense of humour, personal yet professional. Apart form that he was attentive to various needs in the group and quick to help where needed. I highly recommend Eagle Eye Birding tours, the Cambodia/Vietnam tour and Phil.”

“Birding is not easy, and with route changes due to border tensions, there were long driving days. However, the guides did very well in finding key birds, and the diversity was wonderful.”

“2 great countries to visit, cultures very different from our own, excellent food. Lots of birds to see, great local guides. Good time of the year, good weather. Accommodation more in keeping with that part of the world, don't expect 5star north american hotels outside main cities. Not a lot of English spoken in the local population but very good with sign language - made some restaurant stops interesting.”

“We recently returned from our tour to South Vietnam and Cambodia... the tour exceeded our expectations! The hotels used were great, food was well prepared and local guides were excellent! They communicated very well with the group and helped us get eyes on some VERY special bird species! The temple tours at Angkor Wat area was a great addition to the tour itinerary!”
