The expedition was very well run by the crew and they were clearly enthusiastic and worked hard to provide the greatest possible experience for the travelers. Highly recommended!

Overall, this expedition is a spectacular experience--scenery, wildlife, guides, food. Everyone was seasick the first day out of Argentina, not ready for rough sea, but ship's doc was walking around with a pocket full of Meclizine, which was effective. I chose this tour because there were fewer days at sea and more varied excursions than a trip via Drake's Passage. The land excursions are particularly exciting if you are a birder--birds are not afraid of humans, so it is possible to observe natural behavior. There is wildlife at sea too, so those periods were interesting also. Lots to do on board, for instance citizen science projects, such as checking ocean temperature, a quiet library with an internet connected PC, a very social lounge area, programs about the science & history of the area, good deck access for outdoor viewing.

First class experience for the three of us. Amazing landscapes, and experiences on shore meeting residents, seeing wildlife etc. The staff were so kind and helpful and very professional. We found the programs fascinating and learned a lot, very diverse range of topics well done. Staff made an effort to meet dietary needs though would have been great if vegan/vegetarian were a part of the menu rather than special order; selections became too repetitive. Loved being able to enjoy a meal alfresco on the upper deck. The penguins were lovely! Missed the Emperor though! Have recommended this tour to friends!
