Nickel plated Kershner style tailpiece for 5-string or 4-string banjos. The heavier mass of the Kershner gives plenty of sustain and also allows the tailpiece to sit very close to banjo head. Supplied with fixing screw and hexagon nut. Designed and patented by Benjamin Kershner in 1916, this is an excellent banjo tailpiece design that has stood the test of time. One screw adjusts uniform tension on all strings. Can be set very close to the banjo head.Suitable for loop end strings only.
