A popular head from Deering much favoured by players that want a full bodied, more earthier sound from their banjo.Available in 11 or 12 inch diameter, see below for crown height options. Please Note: All Goodtime Banjos (except 12") come fitted with a HIGH CROWN head. Deering, Vega and Tenbrooks banjos come fitted with a MEDIUMÂ CROWNÂ head. The plastic 'head' is moulded onto an aluminium hoop. The outer surface is sprayed with irregular fibres then matte smooth finished. This head has more 'body' than a normal plastic head and gives the nearest sound that you will ever get to a genuine calfskin vellum ...but is not effected by moisture in the atmosphere.
