“This is the first set of metal GCEA strings that I have managed to fit to a S/Scale Tenor banjo without the "A" string snapping on installation or shortly afterwards. They have been on for a couple of weeks now with no issues. The tension is fine and the overall tone is balanced. However, tone is a little high for me at present but I have managed to drop it a little by the use of a mute, but that has reduced the volume and as I play for a Morris Side I really need the volume. If a heavier set could be offered that would probably be a good improvement...........”
