“Now my UK source of customised Marine Bands has gone I have to either buy from abroad at significant expense or buy out-of-the-box models. Fortunately Hohner Marine Band Deluxe harmonicas are very well manufacturered these days and this new Steve Baker Signature version is no exception. It is very air-tight and smooth it plays and bends exceptionally well. This brand line also incudes a range of Country-tuned harps. The natural minors are labelled in first position, incidentally, which I believe to be correct and consistent with other diatonics. About the same price as Crossovers, these are just as good. Hopefully Hohner will do more natural minor keys in time. Recommended.”
“Great quality marine band. Note that the key labelling is for 1st position whereas Seydel and Lee Oskar label for 2nd position. A Hoher D Minor would be the same as a Lee Oscar/Seydel A Minor.
I wish there were more minor keys available from Hohner.”
