Is gunsmith installation required?
For many in-spec 1911 and 2011 pistols, our Hard Sear offers a significant drop-in improvement over factory MIM parts. However, due to the critical nature of the sear/hammer relationship and manufacturing tolerances between firearms, we strongly recommend professional installation by a qualified gunsmith. A gunsmith can verify proper engagement, ensure all safeties function correctly, and get the absolute best performance from the part.
