1911 Hammer Strut Titanium Reviews

The EGW 1911 Hammer Strut Titanium is the best hammer strut for your 1911, but lighter! Whether you are replacing an old hammer strut or looking for a new one for a build, the EGW 1911 hammer strut is exactly what you need. Machined stainless steel and titanium struts keep the hammer under mainspring tension even at the “hammer-down” position. Improved radius prevents the strut from contacting the sear spring and prevents interference with most grip safeties. Warning: This product may be alloyed with trace amounts of lead and other elements which are known to the State of California to cause reproductive harm and cancer. To prevent exposure, do not alter the product by welding, grinding, etc. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

While I was installing an EGW Ignition kit in my Prodigy I decided to replace the hammer strut as well. Very high quality and noticeably lighter than the original. The overall feel of the trigger is greatly improved.

I wanted to upgrade the hammer in my 1911, and seemed only logical to upgrade the strut at the same time. This titanium version is clearly superior to the original stamped version. Required some minor fitting, but the result works perfectly.
