EGW HD 1911 Barrel Link (#0)
The key to a truly accurate 1911 is a perfect barrel lockup, and that starts with the EGW Heavy-Duty (HD) Barrel Link. Precision-machined from solid 4140 chromoly steel, our barrel links are the professional's choice for correctly fitting a barrel to the slide stop pin. This #0 link is a specialized, shorter link specifically for use in Accu-Rail guns where the rails have been moved down, requiring a different geometry for a tight, reliable, and accurate lockup.

The EGW Solution for Your Custom 1911
The secret to a "one-hole" accurate 1911 is a perfectly fit barrel. Here’s why our barrel link is the superior choice:
Specialized for Accu-Rail Builds: The #0 link is the specific size required to achieve proper lockup timing on Accu-Rail guns where the slide sits lower on the frame.
Machined from 4140 Chromoly Steel: We CNC-machine each link from heat-treated 4140 chromoly steel for exceptional strength and wear resistance, preventing the link hole from elongating over time.
Unmatched Machining Process: Each link undergoes an intensive in-house process—spotting, drilling, reaming, chamfering, and engraving—on our CNC machines to guarantee precision and consistency.
Proudly Made in the USA: Every component is manufactured in our Quakertown, PA facility, guaranteeing the highest level of quality control.

1911 Barrel Link FAQ
Why do I need a #0 link for an Accu-Rail gun?
The Accu-Rail system involves milling the frame rails and installing hardened steel rods for the slide to ride on. This process often lowers the slide's position relative to the slide stop pin hole. A shorter-than-standard link, like this #0 link, is required to compensate for this change in geometry and achieve a proper, tight barrel lockup.
Is this a drop-in part?
No. This is not a drop-in part. The barrel link is a crucial timing component in the 1911. Installing the wrong size link can lead to poor accuracy, damage to the firearm, and unsafe function. This part MUST be selected and installed by a qualified 1911 gunsmith who can properly fit the barrel.
