EGW standard SS spring plug is included. The takedown hole in the guide rod allows for easy disassembly/reassembly.This kit does not include recoil springs, but they can be purchased separately.Commander One Piece Guide Rod: Fits flush with the slide so you can turn the bushing to disassemble the gun. This tungsten guide rod should be checked by a gunsmith familiar with the 1911 design. It may require minor fitting to contact the frame evenly. Failure to do so may lead to premature wear and/or breakage which will not be covered under warranty. The head of the guide rod has smooth beveled edges to make for a seamless look. Our STI Guide rods are made specifically for STI models as the button on the end of the guide rod is smaller in diameter than a standard guide rod.Check for fit in 3 areas:(1) Barrel feet should not contact head(2) Where guide rod rests against frame(3) Back surface of slide/dustcover is flat and even.

I’ve bought several over time ! For me I like the weight upfront ! Others may not. This last purchase was sent wrong , they sent me a 1911 hammer spring as flat ? I called them and they sent a tungsten guide rod out with a return label for the main spring housing!

I’m retired C. O. P. And I’ve used these on my 1911’s for years! Commander size and full length guide rod tungsten ! For me I like the weight up front! When Commonelli used to make them he also made the tungsten collars that’s extra weight up front! They work just fine
