For liability and safety reasons, we do not swap or substitute springs included in these kits. If you prefer a different spring weight than the one provided, it must be purchased separately. This kit reduces recoil and increases longevity of the spring system in Officers size guns.The kit includes a 1/4" guide rod, reverse plug and ISMI flat recoil spring.All systems use a 1/4" guide rod made from solid barstock with a take down hole.The Officer's model kit uses a modified Clark plug in place of the reverse plug.The Clark plug is available in Stainless Steel or blued Carbon Steel.Will work for Colt Officer, Colt 1991a1 compact, and Para P12.Will not work with Rock Island 3.5". That application requires our Rock Island Kit.All kits are drop-in. This will not fit in a Springfield Prodigy 3.5" In independent testing, ISMI spring have endured in excess of 100,000 compression cycles. We don’t recommend going that long between changes however. With an ISMI spring, practice routine maintenance and change it once a year.
