For liability and safety reasons, we do not swap or substitute springs included in these kits. If you prefer a different spring weight than the one provided, it must be purchased separately. Our quarter inch guide rod kit allows the use of a flat wire recoil spring on a full length gun.The provided spring plug is for a thick flange and carry bevel bushing.The flat wire spring is an upgrade over the standard round wire spring because it is more durable and will last longer.This kit comes with all items pictured:5 inch quarter guide rod20lb recoil springLong-nose spring plug with a .257 hole bored in the centerAll kits are drop-in. In independent testing, ISMI spring have endured in excess of 100,000 compression cycles. We don’t recommend going that long between changes however. With an ISMI spring, practice routine maintenance and change it once a year.
