EGW's HD Block Slide Stop has a .200" diameter pin and is machined from carbon steel. This slide stop is made specifically for 9mm / .38 Super / 10mm / .40 S&W 1911s although we do offer a .45 ACP version as well. Many new 1911s are being built with futuristic designs and we wanted to offer a new, interesting take on the slide stop and thumb safety. Two components that typically don't have too much variety. This is what we came up with. When paired with our HD Block Thumb Safety, your gun will look like it came straight from the future. This product is machined from solid.We do not have any slide stops with a smooth pad. Warning: This product may be alloyed with trace amounts of lead and other elements which are known to the State of California to cause reproductive harm and cancer. “I've disassembled and reassembled my pistol many times. When I inserted this block slide stop, the pistol slide would not move. It was locked in place, I had to tap the slide stop out with a punch and Hammer. The pistol would not function at all until I put the original slides stop back in. I have returned this one for a refund.”

“It fit perfectly in my Jacob Grey Black 9mm double stack. I wanted a little more room to get my thumb under it to lock the slide back.”

“I picked this up to install on a Springfield Prodigy 4.25, as the factory slidestop is impossible to practically use without using the support hand or completely breaking any semblance of a grip with the shooting hand. The HD Block Slide stop installed super-easily and now allows for way easier access and activation to get back in the game after a speed reload easily.”
