Our Thick Flange bushing is machined from solid barstock steel.The flange thickness is .125" which protects the barrel more because it sticks out farther than the spec bushing.Available in Stainless Steel and blued Carbon Steel.Gunsmith Fit is available in all O.D.'s with a .568" I.D. Straight Bore.O.D. of the bushing = Inside diameter of your slide - usually .699" - .705";I.D. of the bushing = Outside diameter of your barrel - usually .575" - .583".Please measure these two areas with calipers to find the sizes you need.Please select your options carefully.Please provide exact measurements, as our machinist will allow for clearance.Check out our FAQ Section for instructions on how to accurately take these measurements.Angle Bore is bored on an angle or a snug fit (measurements must be precise);Straight Bore is bored straight without variation.Please allow 3 weeks for custom bored bushings.When choosing a spring plug, choose the EGW Long Nose Spring Plug for a flush fit!

“The machine work was dead on accurate from my measurements. Nice tight fit. Had a problem with the flange width. It was .030 wider than oem colt bushing flange. Had to file .015 on each side, otherwise guide rod spring plug wouldn’t come out. I had to cold blue the barrel bushing. After talking with Al, he was very helpful and patient. He said they hadn’t had that problem before. He went above and beyond measuring a Dan Wesson he had there. Anyways I look at this stuff like modifying a race car. That stuff happens, if you need instructions you shouldn’t be working on it. Before and after photos”

“Fit is great and tightened up my groups. Give them the correct dimensions and you get the correct bushing. Fits the slide tight and close tolerances with the barrel. No barrel slop at the muzzel. I had to smooth and polish my barrel and now it all glides like butter. I would recommend this to anybody. OR when I will need another.”

“Just ordered my 4th. 1 is in my Gold Cup, 2 are in a 9mm and a 45 SA Range Officers. The 4th is for another 45 RO I just got. These and a .200" slidestop make very noticeable improvements in accuracy of these already decently accurate pistols”

“Got one for my 1965 Gold Cup. Nice tight fit in the slide and perfect fit over the barrel. Slightly Snug at first but loosened up after about 50rds. Went from 3" at 50yds to 2". Worth every penny and then some.”
