These Savage trigger guards are CNC machined and anodized black. This trigger guard is for Savage Flat Back actions only. Simply remove the factory plastic trigger guard and install this guard in place. This is a great upgrade for your rifle. No more broken trigger guards! “This trigger guard is a good upgrade over the factory plastic piece. It added minimal weight at 1.2 oz. I swapped from the factory plastic stock to a composite stock with an aluminum bedding block and action screw pillars, and bought this item to provide a stable, essentially non-compressible part of the rear action screw stackup so that a consistent torque can be applied to the rear action screw. Eliminates the “squish” from the plastic piece it replaced. Fit perfectly.”

“Great product and very well made. Just remember if you have an aftermarket trigger installed like a Timney you will have to sand the inside out for fitment, because the trigger is wider . Great product though.”

“Rode a little high in aftermarket stock but fit and finish was just fine after stock fitting. It is kind of chunky and could be more svelte for use with a gloved hand. Not much selection in the aftermarket for aluminum guard but for EGW! Would buy again, Thanks!”
