This mount comes standard with a bevel on both sides making it ambidextrous. We recommend measuring the hole spacing in your receiver to confirm it matches with the dimensions we have published. Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. Our one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike. We machine these in our shop using one of our machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability. Installation: We recommend 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately). We recommend:0 MOA - if shooting 0-500 yards20 MOA - if shooting 500-1000 yardsWhen zeroing your rifle with a 20 MOA mount, we recommend zeroing at 200 yards. The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA.   Warning: This product may be alloyed with trace amounts of lead and other elements which are known to the State of California to cause reproductive harm and cancer. I had always used the weaver mount with this rifle, which as many know doesn’t give much leeway for scope ring adjustments. This works perfect and installation was very easy. The machining is good quality and the whole mount feels robust.

This fit perfectly. I was able to move my scope rings back about an inch. This puts me in the proper eye relief for my scope. I can now see clearly at the high powers of my scope.

There are not many companies making products for the 788 and EGW had just what I needed to replace the old style of scope base from the 1980's. This item arrived quickly and the fit and finish was perfect. This in not the first purchase from EGW and won't be my last.

The gunsmith needed to do some filing on front edge of the mount to get it to fit properly, but not a major effort by him. He was surprised that he needed to do it, as in his fairly extensive experience and using of EGW products, he's almost never had to make any modifications to fit a weapon.
