Bring your classic Remington Woodsmaster or Gamemaster into the modern era. This EGW Picatinny rail is the perfect upgrade for the Remington 740, 742, 760, Weaver 62, and Ithaca 37, converting your receiver to a universal mounting platform. By replacing the old two-piece Weaver 62 bases with a solid one-piece rail, you gain the flexibility to mount virtually any scope or red dot sight with proper eye relief. Machined from domestic 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum, this rail is lightweight and rigid. The extruded center channel running down the middle of the rail reduces overall mass without sacrificing durability. The cross slots run the full length of the mount, allowing you to use modern Picatinny or Weaver-style rings. Technical Specifications

Remington 742 / 760 Rail FAQ
Will this fit my Remington 7400 or 7600?
No. The 7400 and 7600 use larger #8-40 screws and a wider hole spacing (Weaver 93 pattern). You need our specific 7400/7600 mount for those rifles.
Is my rifle drilled and tapped?
Many older Remington 740s, 742s, and 760s were not drilled and tapped at the factory. Please check the top of your receiver. If you see 4 screw holes (or plug screws), this rail will fit. If the top is smooth, you will need a gunsmith to drill and tap it for you.
Will this fit an Ithaca 37?
Yes, but only if your Ithaca 37 is drilled and tapped for the Weaver 62 pattern (often found on "Deerslayer" models). Standard Ithaca 37s are usually not drilled and tapped.
