Installation & Overview
(Watch our guide on how to properly torque and install your EGW rail).
Replace the factory weaver bases on your Remington 710 or 770 with a solid one-piece solution. These budget-friendly rifles often come with pre-mounted scopes that use proprietary or flimsy mounts. Our Picatinny rail converts the receiver to a universal mounting platform, allowing you to use high-quality rings and optics for better accuracy and reliability. Machined from domestic 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum, this rail is lightweight and rigid. The center channel reduces weight without sacrificing durability. The cross slots run the full length of the mount, giving you the flexibility to position your scope rings exactly where you need them for proper eye relief—a common issue with the short receiver length of the 710/770 series. Remington 710 / 770 Rail FAQ
Will this fit the Remington 700?
No. The hole spacing on the Remington 710 and 770 (2.460") is completely different from the Model 700. This rail will not line up with a Remington 700 receiver.
Do I need to remove my rear iron sight?
Usually, no. This rail is high enough (0.4") to clear most factory iron sights. However, depending on the objective lens size of your new scope, you might need to remove the rear sight to fit the scope bell.
Is this better than the 2-piece bases?
Yes. A one-piece Picatinny rail connects the front and rear mounting points, adding rigidity to the receiver and ensuring better alignment for your scope rings. It also gives you more slots to move the scope forward or backward for perfect eye relief.

been waiting literal months for this item, but not as you would think. the Remington Model 770 has been out of production since 2019 (and we all remember what came next...) and the original scope and rail were good options for "out of box", but i wanted better options for a better scope. so through a whole lot of internet searching, wrong information from "reputable sources" and the occational odd stare, i found EGW...and with a little patience, i have my item. mounting it was a piece of cake. fits like it was milled diectly from the receiver. so glad and grateful for the options extra of screws and hex bit...speaking of screws...that is what amazed me the most about this set, go figure i'm easily distracted by small shiny things too...but normally screws from one manufacture have some fitting issue with the fittings from another manufacturer but not these and like i said earlier, everything fit like it was made from one piece. so just a dibby-dab of Loctite 242, 20 in.lbs and 24 hours later and i've never been this happy since i dodged that child-support case back in 94'...damn you Maker's Mark...damn you all to hell. but in a nutshell, EGW has one new, very satified and EXTREMELY appreciative life-long customer.
