Machined from domestic 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum, this rail is lightweight and specifically contoured to the round top of the newer Savage receivers. The center channel reduces weight without sacrificing rigidity. The full-length cross slots give you complete freedom to position your scope rings exactly where you need them. What is a "Round Back" Savage?
Older Savages (pre-2003) had a flat top on the rear of the receiver ("Flat Back"). Newer models, especially those with the AccuTrigger like the 10ML-II, have a round top on both the front and rear. This rail is for the Round Back models.
Will this fit the Savage 10ML-II?
Yes, as long as it is the newer version with the round rear receiver. If your receiver is flat on the back, you need our "Flat Back" mount.
Can I use a red dot sight?
Absolutely. The continuous Picatinny rail allows you to mount a red dot anywhere on the receiver, making it perfect for fast target acquisition in brush or dense woods.
