If you are shooting cartridges like .338 Lapua, .300 Win Mag, or .28 Nosler out past 600 yards, a standard mount may run you out of elevation adjustment. This 20 MOA Picatinny Rail angles your scope downward, giving you 20 extra minutes of angle of upward travel. This ensures you can dial for extreme distances without "bottoming out" your turret. Machined from domestic 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum, this rail is lightweight and rigid. We include mounting hardware for both standard receivers (#6-48 screws) and heavy-duty magnum/target receivers (#8-40 screws), making this the perfect upgrade for the Savage 110 Ultralite, 110 BA Stealth, or Christensen Arms Ridgeline (check serial number). Why choose 20 MOA?
20 MOA angles your scope downward toward the barrel. This forces you to dial your reticle "up" to re-center it, effectively giving you 20 extra minutes of angle of upward adjustment. This is critical for reaching out past 600 yards without running out of internal scope travel.
Can I zero at 100 yards with this mount?
Usually, yes. Most modern scopes have enough internal travel to zero at 100 yards even with a 20 MOA base. However, if you are using an older scope with limited adjustment, you might struggle to get a 100-yard zero.
