This EGW Picatinny Rail is designed to replace the often loose or lost factory base, providing a superior, American-made platform for your red dot or reflex sight. Machined from domestic 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum, this rail is far more rigid than standard OEM mounts. Will this fit the 12 or 20 gauge models?
No. This mount is specifically contoured and drilled for the Savage 301 .410 bore receiver. The larger gauge receivers have different dimensions.
Is this a replacement for the factory Turkey rail?
Yes. This is an excellent upgrade/replacement for the factory rail found on the Savage 301 Turkey .410. It uses the same mounting holes.

“So - I am doing everything I can to not be a karen. The rail is VERY well made, high quailty prodcut. I gave a five start review because it is exactly as advertised. If you are looking for a way to have a lower profile mount for your optic on your gun, this is not the answer. It is basically the same height. My fault for not looking more closely at dimensions. However, the fine people at EGW let me return this prodcut. I have many of their other mounts on other guns and will always do business with them. This prodcut is great if you are looking to replace the north korean garbage that comes with the stevens 301. Not great if you want something lower to the cheek weld. 5 stars because its MY FAULT that I didn't pay closer attention to the details. EGW is a fine company with great prodcuts and great people.”

“The rail fit perfectly. However in order to mount a scope far enough forward to allow the ocular lens bell to clear the hammer, I needed to file some of the rail down on the rear end. After that was done, all worked fine. I could have used a taller set of rings, but that would have put the scope up too high to get a decent cheek weld on the stock.”

“For some unkknown reason my Savage 301 410 was missing the rear sight picatinny. And since I have had so much good luck in the past with EGW, I started my search there. It arrived I installed and I am getting a red dot to put on it for the coming season.”
