Will this fit the 12 or 20 gauge models?
No. This mount is specifically contoured and drilled for the Savage 301 .410 bore receiver. The larger gauge receivers have different dimensions.
Is this a replacement for the factory Turkey rail?
Yes. This is an excellent upgrade/replacement for the factory rail found on the Savage 301 Turkey .410. It uses the same mounting holes.

“The rail fit perfectly. However in order to mount a scope far enough forward to allow the ocular lens bell to clear the hammer, I needed to file some of the rail down on the rear end. After that was done, all worked fine. I could have used a taller set of rings, but that would have put the scope up too high to get a decent cheek weld on the stock.”

“For some unkknown reason my Savage 301 410 was missing the rear sight picatinny. And since I have had so much good luck in the past with EGW, I started my search there. It arrived I installed and I am getting a red dot to put on it for the coming season.”
