Picatinny Rail for Savage Axis / Edge / Axis II - 0 MOA Quick Check: Is Your Axis Short or Long Action?
Spoiler: They are ALL the same. Every Savage Axis and Edge uses the same "Long Action" length receiver, regardless of whether it shoots .223 or .30-06.Fitment: Fits ALL Savage Axis, Axis II, Axis XP, Axis II XP, and Edge models.Mounting Hardware: Includes BOTH #6-48 and larger #8-40 screws to fit any vintage receiver.
Installation & Overview
(Watch our guide on how to properly torque and install your EGW rail).
Ditch the flimsy two-piece bases that came with your package rifle. This EGW Picatinny Rail turns your Savage Axis or Edge into a rigid, accurized platform. By bridging the receiver with a single piece of solid aluminum, you eliminate potential alignment issues and stiffen the action. Whether you are running a .223 for varmints or a .30-06 for deer, this rail provides the flexibility to mount your scope exactly where you need it for perfect eye relief. We have future-proofed this mount by drilling it for the larger #8-40 screws found on newer production Axis rifles, while also including the standard #6-48 screws for older models. No guessing games—just open the box and mount it. Technical Specifications

Three is a charm, I ordered from two different stores and both clearly state they're the right rail but neither fit, then I heard about EGW and tried them out and wow they new about the different screw sizes and had the right part for a good price and shipped fast. I will be ordering all of my optics hardware from EGW from now on. Thanks

After multiple attempts to get the right rail from Cabelas for my Savage Axis .270 and Vortex scope, I gave up on Cabelas and went with EGW as recommended by Vortex. I was not disappointed! Easy to find the right rail, informative videos, and great customer service. They had a deal on some quality scope rings and quickly helped me find the right height for my combination. Everything fit together perfectly. I highly recommend EGW!
