We have future-proofed this mount by drilling it for the larger #8-40 screws found on newer production Axis rifles, while also including the standard #6-48 screws for older models. Does this fit the Savage Edge?
Yes. The Savage Edge was the original name for the Axis. They use the exact same receiver geometry and hole spacing.
I have a short action (.223/.243). Will this fit?
Yes. Savage builds all Axis rifles on a single "Long Action" receiver length, regardless of the caliber. This rail fits every caliber from .223 to .30-06.
Will this fit the Thompson Center Compass?
No. This is made for the Savage Axis
