Picatinny Rail for Savage Axis / Edge / Axis II - 0 MOA Quick Check: Is Your Axis Short or Long Action?
Spoiler: They are ALL the same. Every Savage Axis and Edge uses the same "Long Action" length receiver, regardless of whether it shoots .223 or .30-06.Fitment: Fits ALL Savage Axis, Axis II, Axis XP, Axis II XP, and Edge models.Mounting Hardware: Includes BOTH #6-48 and larger #8-40 screws to fit any vintage receiver.
Installation & Overview
(Watch our guide on how to properly torque and install your EGW rail).
Ditch the flimsy two-piece bases that came with your package rifle. This EGW Picatinny Rail turns your Savage Axis or Edge into a rigid, accurized platform. By bridging the receiver with a single piece of solid aluminum, you eliminate potential alignment issues and stiffen the action. Whether you are running a .223 for varmints or a .30-06 for deer, this rail provides the flexibility to mount your scope exactly where you need it for perfect eye relief. We have future-proofed this mount by drilling it for the larger #8-40 screws found on newer production Axis rifles, while also including the standard #6-48 screws for older models. No guessing games—just open the box and mount it. Technical Specifications

Replaced a scope on Savage Axis for friend. Found he had Weaver rails so had to install this rail. His gun was older so needed 6-48 screws. EGW sends both sets of screws 6-48 & 8-40 which is great. Looks good, works as advertised.

I had previously gone to two other companies and was sent the wrong rail and although I asked for 0 MOA rail, was sent another 20 MOA rail. Savage actually recommended you and sent me a link to your specific rail for my rifle. It was received in a timely manner, and I mounted it. My Vortex Crossfire scope is now mounted, centered on adjustment and shooting sub one inch groups on target. Thanks for getting me shooting again.

Installed it with ease. Holes lined up perfectly. My Eotech mounted on it easily. Will have to get some time to sight it in, the only thing that might be a issue is if the brass ejects and hits the Eotech. If it does that would be the Eotech that is a issue. Will up date when I sight it in to give my full opinion on it.
