What's the best way to mount a scope to a Savage Rascal? Looking to easily mount a scope to your Savage Rascal? Our 0 MOA picatinny scope mount is a great option and exactly what you need for your Savage Rascal bolt action rifle. This mount fits: Savage Rascal The Savage Rascal picatinny scope rail is ambidextrous and is made specifically for the Savage Rascal. The Savage Rascal is a single shot bolt action rifle designed with youth in mind. This is a fantastic single shot rimfire rifle to introduce youth to the shooting sports. Our one piece base allows you to mount a modern scope on your Savage Rascal .22 long rifle. This mount is milled on both sides for bolt clearance on left or right handed models. This mount will work great, no matter the barrel length. The Savage Rascal that is cut for the Williams Peep Sight is available here. Why is the EGW scope mount the best for my Savage Rascal? Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. Our one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike. We machine these in our shop using one of our machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability. Should I use loctite when installing my picatinny scope mount? We always recommend a drip of blue loctite or thread locker when installing your scope mounts (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately). Do I need to torque my hardware when installing my picatinny scope mount? We always recommend torquing the mounting hardware to 20 in/lbs unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer of the firearm. Watch our scope mount installation video here. If you have any other questions, please send our customer service an email or give us a call, we are here to help you find the correct mounting solution for your application. We recommend: 0 MOA - if shooting 0-150 yards 20 MOA - if shooting 150-300 yards The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA.   Warning: This product may be alloyed with trace amounts of lead and other elements which are known to the State of California to cause reproductive harm and cancer. The rail was everything I expected. The gun it went on was not drilled and tapped. This was my first time drilling and tapping a gun. After much research and much worry as to how bad I could screw it up, I drilled/tapped the gun. The rail fit perfectly! I mounted a scope and bore-sighted it. Windage was right on. Elevation was a little low. Today I sighted it in with live fire. Half a rotation on elevation. It's shooting "clover leafs"at 50 yards! This rail made it possible. Thanks for a great product.

The EGW rails for Savage Rascal fit our kids rifles perfectly. We mounted Gunner red dots on them and the kids enjoy shooting them more since it’s so much easier to aim vs using the factory peep sights. The rail covers the loading port on top but there is a generous relief area milled into the rail that leaves plenty of room (even for adult fingers) to load from the side. The factory front sight bead can barely be seen over the top of the rail with the optic removed but for emergency backup sights the factory peep sights can be used.
