In October 2019 the overall length of this mount was changed from 5.488" to 5.094" to accomodate takedown models. If you purchase a mount from a third party seller there is a chance it may be older and not fit your takedown.We have found that older model BLRs may use the long action rail despite the caliber. We recommend measuring the hole spacing in your receiver to confirm it matches with the dimensions we have published. Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. Our one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike. We machine these in our shop using one of our machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability. Installation: We recommend 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately). We recommend:0 MOA - if shooting 0-500 yards20 MOA - if shooting 500-1000 yardsWhen zeroing your rifle with a 20 MOA mount, we recommend zeroing at 200 yards. The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA. “Very solid and perfect fit. However it is not recessed enough and will not allow you to use open sights with removable scope rings like it’s advertised. I have the BLR LT Weight 308 with open sights.”

“Purchased specifically to be able to remove scope and use Browning factory installed iron sights as seen on previous reviews. This rail completely eliminates the use of the iron sights. Will be shopping another brand to achieve use of iron sights.”

“I had to return this item due to the year of manufacture of my rifle. It turns out the older model BLRs take the long action mounts. I ordered the correct one and I know this will work flawlessly. All of my rifles, bolt and lever action have EGW rails and never an issue. It is a huge benefit having the ability to place the rings in the right position for perfect eye relief and a balanced secure scope.”
