“Although this adapter plate does not exactly fit the Romeo 1 Pro cut it does work well with the Vortex Venom red dot that I installed. I did have to slightly enlarge the holes on the Vortex sight with a reamer to allow the use of 4mm x 12mm socket head screws instead of the 6-40 screws. Since this base does not lock into the front radius of the romeo 1 cut I place a drop of medium lock tight between the bottom of the plate and the gun before tightening the screws. So far I have fired about 300 full power loads since mounting the sight and the zero has held perfectly. If you decide to use this for a vortex sight then keep in mind that you will probably have to ream or drill the mounting holes in the vortex sight slightly larger for the 4mm screws, I used a .161" reamer but a #20 or #19 drill bit would also work. The 12mm length of the screws was perfect.”

“I think I ordered the correct adapter but the screws furnished with the adapter were too small and would not thread into the holes in the slide. The threaded holes in the slide are 4x0.7 (factory cut slide). The holes in the Venom are too small for the 4x0.7 screws so they must be drilled out. I finally got it mounted but had to put a small piece of a business card between the adapter plate and slide in the rear so the red dot could be zeroed.”
